We headed to Blake Island for Zak's
birthday with our friend's Billy & Trish.
What a great weekend. We had some
great sailing and the kids had so much fun
beachcombing and playing on Blake
Island.
We were able to get our kayak this month
also. I have wanted a kayak for almost 10
years and finally have one. We did some
research and decided on a Necky Manitou
II. It is a tandem kayak with a child seat.
It has been wonderful. It's great to take
the kids and also works very nicely solo.
It's amazing how much wildlife you see
while in a kayak in the early morning or
evening. It's so much fun.
Scott finished our boat steps this month.
Wow what a difference. It will be so nice
to be at anchor and have some steps down
to the water.
It was a great month. It's always nice
getting out and enjoying the boat. I
actually started a part time job, so getting
out might be a little more difficult in the
future. It's fun to start putting away for
cruising, and luckily I found something
that is extremely flexible.
