Flukes Dig Deep
It is upon a cloudless night for which we glide
Our sails reach deep…into the breaths of angels
And they shout loudly with each gasp

These sails, they pull us forward….into the waiting darkness
It is upon these waves of uncertainty and over unreachable
horizons that we must go

Guided only by the stars, our way is shown to us
We know not of the course we steer, but only that our bow will
reach it first

We see only by the light of an old friend…the moon
Our way is not an easy line to follow

The scent of far away lands drift carelessly across our
decks……chilling our souls

It is not for the weakened where we go
Not by the strength of one man shall we crest
But with curiosity and hope our vessel shall reach the lee

Then, and only then, may we let our flukes dig deep, and souls
lay to rest
