Wow, what a busy month!  We have been taking advantage of
the beautiful weather we have been having here in the Pacific
Northwest and spent many days at the beach and park that is
located on the North end of our marina.  The kids love to
explore the beach at low tide and we always like to kick the
soccer ball around a bit.

Scott & Zak along with Scott's brother and nephew went to
Wisconsin to visit Grandma & Grandpa and get some ice
fishing in.  Zak absolutely loved it and they caught some nice
Northern Pikes and Blue Gills.  Whenever they caught a fish Zak
gave it a big kiss (don't know where he got that from).  The boys
enjoyed playing in the snow and they built a great snowman.

Another plus for this month was getting our boat out for
a weekend.  We were planning on heading down to a
Lats and Atts gathering in Dockton.  We left Friday and
headed to Blake Island.  The weather was beautiful and
it took about an hour and half to get there.  We tied up
to a mooring buoy on the North side of the island and
had to endure a "rollie pollie" night due to vessel traffic.
We headed out early the next morning and had some
fuel related engine problems about half way there and
decided to use the wind and turn around and head
home to be safe.  Luckily Scott was able to get the
engine working enough to get us into the slip.  We are
still trying to figure out what the problem is.  Even with
the problems, it was wonderful to get out.  Can't wait
until we can do it more often.

Other than that, we just spent time on the boat.  Zak's
favorite pass time is fishing off the back of the boat.
We just have weights on the end of the line, but he is
getting really good at casting.  We also enjoyed a great
playdate with some friends from school.  We all went to
the beach and then came back to the boat for lunch.  It
was so much fun.  The kids love having friends come
over to the boat, and we are all looking forward to
having more time to play in the sand at the beach.
What a blast!
