Zak's friend Denali visits Ghost
May seemed to fly by.  It was halfway through
the month when I finally realized we hadn't
taken any pictures.  We made up for that.

The first Sunday of the month we went out
sailing with Scott's brother, Bill and his family.
It was great to just take Ghost out for a day
sail and she handled beautifully.  The wind
made it a little stressful for me to bring her in
when docking, but hopefully a little more
practice will help with that.

Around the middle of the month the kids and I
met up with some friends at the Point
Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.  We had a great
day seeing all the animals and the kids
especially loved seeing the Beluga whales and
walrus.  It was fun playing with their friends
Aaron and Anika.  We are unable to see them
often and it was great getting together.

We also had our third liveaboard/cruiser
wannabe couple come visit to talk about our
lifestyle.  It was wonderful getting to know
Skip and Carole and wish them luck in their
search and adventure.

Towards the end of the month we had Zak's
friend, Denali, come over for a visit and the
kids were able to play on deck in our new little
swimming pool.  The kids had a blast.  Zak &
Ellie spent Memorial Day Weekend playing on
deck in the pool and on the dock getting
jellyfish-like By-the-wind sailors.  Our
neighbor, Trish helped them get them out of
the water and made sure they knew the
difference between these clear creatures and
the jellyfish with color in them (if they have
any color, they will sting).

Trish also helped me start a little dock garden.
One thing I missed about not having a house
was being able to have a garden.  I have
tomatoes, strawberries, spinach, thyme,
oregano, basil, mint, rosemary, and parsley.
We tried some sweet peas and they didn't
work.  I also have a Tropicana Cana, African
Daisies, Verogated Geranium, and some
sweet potatoe vines.  I love it.  It's so much fun.
