We started this month by going to a 3rd of
July fireworks gathering in Liberty Bay
(Poulsbo, WA). We rafted up with some other
boats from our dock (Kwinhagak, Tropic Star,
& Northern Exposure), and one boat from our
previous marina (Black Opal). Scott's brother
and family came along and we all had a great
time. The kids loved playing up on deck and
the pool was great. I think we even had some
adults jumping in. Zak & Ellie both stayed
awake for the beginning of the fireworks, but
both fell fast asleep during the show.
Once home, we took a short trip to Portland to
spend some time with our friends, Bob & Shari
and Jim & Debbie. We got home and had
Scott's cousins from Iowa come for a visit. It
was great getting to know them and enjoyed
going to a Mariner's game, Ocean shores on
the Washington coast, and the zoo with them.
The kids had a blast at the beach and I also
enjoyed collecting sand dollars. We met
Scott's brother and family at the zoo and all
the kids had so much fun together. We ended
the month with a little gathering on the boat
with our friends from the dock, and some
Latitudes and Attitudes friends.
It was a busy month, as always, but so much
fun.
